Nick Chubb has been electric for the Cleveland Browns the past few weeks. Here we take a look at how his numbers this season compare to other rookie running backs around the NFL.

Nick Chubb has been a great story for the Cleveland Browns this season. The Browns took a chance on the running back out of Georgia with the 35th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The pick was puzzling since the Browns had veteran Duke Johnson on the roster and had recently signed veteran Carlos Hyde. Chubb seemed to be a BPA (Best Player Available) pick with the 35th pick for a team that had some other significant holes to fill.

Chubb put the “best player” in “best player available” for the Cleveland Browns since halfway through the season he has beaten out both of the veterans, causing Hyde to be traded to Jacksonville.

Chubb has looked like an elite NFL running back the past few weeks. He even won the FedEx NFL Ground Player Of The Week award for Week 10 for his stellar performance against the Falcons.

Since we have already compared Baker Mayfield to the other rookie quarterbacks, lets see how Chubb matches up against some of his fellow rookies so far this season. Since there have been a lot of rookie running backs contributing, we’re going to have to limit the number of backs he is compared to.

Chubb will be compared to Saquon Barkley, Rashaad Penny, and Sony Michel, the running backs taken ahead of him, and also Kerryon Johnson and Phillip Lindsay.

The running backs will be compared in six different stat categories: rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, yards per carry, rushing yards per game, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.

Each player will be assigned a number between 1 and 6, and the goal will be to have the lowest average number. Lets get into it and compare Nick Chubb to his fellow rookies!
