Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield continued his strong play in the first half against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield must have woke up feeling dangerous on Sunday, as he dominated the Cincinnati Bengals in the first half.

Mayfield completed 17 of his 22 attempted passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns in just the first half against the Bengals defense. He currently has a passer rating of 152.5.

Mayfield looked in control of the offense from the get go, and most of his incompletions coming on throw away’s or passes thrown just out of the reach of his receiver.

Once again, Mayfield is getting multiple players involved in the passing game, completing passes to seven different receivers. Tight end David Njoku is leading the way for the Browns receivers, catching five passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.

Njoku’s touchdown was one of the most interesting touchdowns that will happen in the NFL the rest of the season. Njoku caught a screen pass behind the line of scrimmage. As he was running to the end zone, he attempted to leap over Bengals safety Jessie Bates from the five-yard line, but Bates caught Njoku in mid-air. However, Bates could not drag Njoku down, and the Browns offensive line and Duke Johnson pushed Njoku and Bates into the end zone for the six-yard touchdown.

Mayfield has yet to be sacked, as he has been buying time in the pocket with his scrambling ability. On Mayfield’s first touchdown of the game, he scrambled to his left to escape a collapsing pocket, then hit Antonio Callaway in the back of the end-zone for a 13-yard touchdown.

Callaway is having a strong performance after struggling for much of the middle of the season. He has caught four passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.

Mayfield and the Browns passing offense is also excelling during the key moments, as they have converted all four third downs when they pass the ball. The Browns fourth passing conversion on third down even scored a touchdown, as Mayfield completed a 14-yard touchdown to Nick Chubb at the end of the second quarter.
