An open letter to Damien Woody, concerning the Cleveland Browns’ Baker Mayfield
Hugs for Hue
Nevertheless Dawg Pound Daily is sensitive to the emotional needs of Hue Jackson, and our esteemed colleagues at ESPN, even as they try to make money by insulting our meal ticket. If Browns players are not willing to hug Hue Jackson, perhaps Browns fans will be willing to do so. Browns fans are very reasonable, you see.
Hence, Dawg Pound Daily is pleased to announce the creation of a new web page called “Hugs for Hue.” This remarkable site will give fans the opportunity to line up after future Bengals/Browns games (the next one is December 23 in Cleveland), and promise to give their former Coach a hug after the game, win lose or draw. We will also extend an invitation to all ESPN broadcasters to join Hugs for Hue, at no charge.
It’s part of the complementary press pass, courtesy of your Cleveland Browns. So, Mr. Woody, if you feel that poor coach Jackson hasn’t gotten enough hugs from his players, here is your chance to help make up for it.
Hugs for Hue letter
Hi, Cleveland Browns fans!
Damien Woody and the humanitarians at ESPN are concerned that former coach Hue Jackson has not gotten his fair share of hugs from Baker Mayfield and other mean players on the Cleveland Browns.
Well, dry your tears, Mr. Woody! Hugs for Hue is the opportunity for Browns fans to show our love for our former head coach and orchestrator of three wins and 36 losses in two and a half years — oh and he did get us a tie!
Fans may add their names to pledge to hug Hue Jackson after the December 23 Browns versus Cincinnati Bengals game, win lose or draw. This will help assuage any hurt feelings from our former coach, who tried really, really hard. If you don’t believe it, just review the films.
Let’s all make sure we sign up to let Hue know we care. Because that’s what it’s all about.
