Stud: Antonio Callaway

Antonio Callaway has looked like a much different receiver the past couple of weeks compared to what he was playing like earlier in the season. In the first half of the season, his inability to reel in the long ball and drops were squandering chances for the Browns offense.

But in the past month or so, Callaway has looked much better. He has been able to hold onto the ball and is starting to make plays all over the field. That was particularly true on Sunday, as he made a couple of explosive plays.

More from Browns News

Callaway caught three passes for 84 yards against the Texans, but it was the play that did not make the stat sheet that stood out.

With the Browns trailing 26-7 late in the third quarter, Callaway was able to use his speed to create separation from a Texans defender, and Mayfield was able to hit him for a 76-yard touchdown. However, the play was nullified after Greg Robinson committed a holding penalty.

Then just two plays later, Callaway made a leaping grab in front of a Texans safety. Callaway was able to use his speed to make a run towards the end-zone after the catch. However, a perfectly placed punch by Justin Reid forced Callaway to fumble the ball at the goal-line.

Despite the fumble, Callaway is starting to show the big play potential that made the Browns overlook his off-field issues and draft him in the 2018 NFL Draft. Hopefully this is the start of a strong end to the season for Callaway.
