The Cleveland Browns aren’t likely to make the playoffs, but this was still a good season for their growth. They continue that with this 2019 7-round mock draft.

Even with a record of 4-7-1 with just the final four games remaining, the Cleveland Browns should be proud of what they’ve done this season. First and foremost, they rid themselves of the loser moniker by showing out against some talented teams.

While the Atlanta Falcons aren’t the same team this season, the Browns beat them easily and also went on the road to knock off the Cincinnati Bengals — a team that looked like a lock for the playoffs early in the season.

They also played hard in a couple of games where they didn’t win. One was the season opener when they took the Pittsburgh Steelers to overtime and ended up tying with the AFC North leaders.

They also held the New Orleans Saints in check for most of their game in Week 2. That one they lost 21-18, but they easily could have scored a huge upset had it not been for missed kicks and an untimely interception from Tyrod Taylor.

All of that has been said to highlight that this is now a competitive football team. They have their quarterback of the future in Baker Mayfield and many other key pieces like running back Nick Chubb, defensive end Myles Garrett, and cornerback Denzel Ward.

General manager John Dorsey has done wonders in his first season and can grow his legacy with another stellar draft in 2019. Here, we look ahead to that very draft and try to predict which players will get the call from the Browns in this 2019 7-Round Mock Draft.
