As thoughts turn towards another postseason when the Cleveland Browns will once again be watching from the sidelines, the primary question for the Browns front office is who will be the new head coach?

In years past, the Cleveland Browns coaching search was usually accompanied by these questions:

Who will be the new general manager?

Who will be the new quarterback?

Fortunately, the Browns have an answer to both of those questions. John Dorsey is firmly in place as general manager and has given the fans plenty of hope with how well he performed in his first offseason on the job.

And then there is No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield, who has demonstrated both the talent on the field and (yes Colin Cowherd) the leadership and maturity off the field that gives Cleveland Browns fans hopes that we finally have our franchise quarterback.

But as the current situation in Green Bay shows, just having a franchise quarterback is not enough. Teams need to find the right head coach to pair with that quarterback. The Browns seem to be on the verge of finally turning the corner. That makes this hire one of the most important in franchise history as they look for that perfect pairing.

The right hire, with more talent on the way, can easily propel this team towards the playoffs and perhaps, the lifelong wish of many fans, the Super Bowl. The wrong hire can cause our forward progress to come to a halt. But all the leading candidates have their share of questions.
