Final Score: Cleveland 33, Pittsburgh 13

While far from the best statistical performance on this list, this game was sweet revenge for the Browns who had suffered a heartbreaking loss in the playoffs exactly nine months earlier. In a rare Sunday night football appearance, Couch had one of his finest games as a Cleveland Browns quarterback, completing 20-of-25 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns. Couch had only one interception to blemish a game that saw him end with a 111.3 quarterback rating. As the cherry on top, Couch even ran for another score.

Every Browns fan knows that Pittsburgh has been a house of horrors for the Browns. From the legendary “Three Rivers Jinx” that the Browns finally broke in 1986, to the heartbreaking playoff loss in 2003, Pittsburgh has been a city where the Browns have had their share of forgettable games.

But on this night, in front of a national TV audience, the 2-3 Browns – who had come into the game with one of the league’s worst offenses – came in clicking on all cylinders. They played complementary football (Daylon McCutcheon returned an interception 75 yards for a touchdown) in a 20 point beatdown of the Steelers.

Sadly, this would be one of Couch’s last highlight reel performances for the Browns as the 2003 season would be his final one in Cleveland. But for one Sunday night, Couch showed Browns fans what tantalizing potential he possessed.
