Cleveland Browns News: Offensive coordinator in 2019 already decided?
By Randy Gurzi
The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including the rumors that the 2019 offensive coordinator is already decided
The discussion about the Cleveland Browns coaching staff in 2019 has been a major topic of discussion ever since they fired Hue Jackson eight games into the season. While there are still rumors about who will be the man in charge, Jay Glazer seems to think offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens has locked up his role moving forward.
The biggest reason for this belief is the relationship Kitchens has built with rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield. Ever since he took the reins of the offense, this team has been much better — and that all starts with Mayfield’s play.
Although Mayfield isn’t the only player who looks better under Kitchens. Nick Chubb and Duke Johnson have improved, as has the offensive line as a whole. The overall vibe of the offense is better as well, which is why Kitchens has become a hot name.

Browns’ Jabrill Peppers on Hue Jackson: Looking Forward to Kicking His Ass Again
"“On Monday, Peppers made it clear that he had no ill will toward Jackson and he was grateful that the ex-Browns coach took a chance on him. However, he is “still looking forward to kicking his ass again” on Sunday, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com”"
Peppers saying he has no ill-will toward Jackson is the standard line, but it’s hard to believe. This team was set out to embarrass their former coach when they met a few weeks ago and it looks like they want to once again. The real question is whether or not there will be and ‘Hugs for Hue.’
