The No. 1 rookie season for the Cleveland Browns comes from a player who doesn’t have his name mentioned very often anymore, but he was still a solid player while with the Browns. Anthony Henry was a pleasant surprise for the Browns as they selected the South Florida corner in the fourth-round and he ended up tying a team record for interceptions.

Despite technically starting just two games, Henry was on the field often and ended up picking off 10 passes — returning one for a touchdown. He was also credited with 17 pass defenses that season as well.

Henry spent the next three seasons as a primary starter for the Browns and added another seven touchdowns — with four coming in his final season with the team that drafted him. He ended up climbing all the way to No. 22 all-time for interceptions in Cleveland history, which is impressive given the short duration of his time with the Browns.

Henry left in the 2006 offseason as he was given a five-year $25 million deal with the Dallas Cowboys. He played four seasons with them before heading to Detroit. Henry had 12 interceptions with Dallas and another two in his final season with the Lions.

Cleveland hit on this fourth-round pick as Henry proved to be quite the ball hawk. Still, no season topped his rookie campaign and he deserves praise for the work he did that year.
