The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know including Baker Mayfield pushing his teammates to win the last two games

With just two games left to play, the Cleveland Browns are sitting at 6-7-1. That’s a far cry from their 0-16 season in 2017 — and their 1-15 campaign the year prior.

The two biggest reasons for the change would be the firing of Hue Jackson and the emergence of rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield. Now the unquestioned leader of the franchise, Mayfield is issuing a challenge to his team.

He wants to end the year on a positive note — by winning the final two games of the year. Doing so would get them to 8-7-1, their first winning record since 2007. And Baker doesn’t want people around the team who don’t think they can win their final games.

Browns’ Baker Mayfield: Play to win or get out of town — Steve Doerschuk, CantonRep.com

"In terms of beating the Bengals and Ravens, Baker Mayfield sounded a warning shot.“We want to win our last two games,” the rookie quarterback said after Wednesday’s practice. “Any guys on this team that don’t want to do that … they need to get out.”"

This is the kind of fire the Browns needed at quarterback. Mayfield isn’t just satisfied with being better than last season. He wants to end the year with a winning record, and there’s no reason for them to not believe it can happen — especially considering they have beaten both the Bengals and Ravens, the final two teams on the schedule.

Browns, Nick Saban linked by Cowherd

FS1 personality Colin Cowherd linked Nick Saban to the Browns head coaching job, but it’s really not a good fit. Here we dive into why that’s the case.

Arians can be the ideal head coaching candidate

Our own Dan Justik looks at why Bruce Arians could be an ideal fit as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. He also touches on his age, which could make him a risky selection as well.

Baker Mayfield hints he had contact with Hue Jackson after calling him ‘fake,’ expects the remark to fire up the Bengals — Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland.com

"“No, I said what I said,’’ said Mayfield. “It’s another week. We have to hit the reset button. We have to be able to come in, be able to block out the distractions, block out the outside noise like we have week to week every time this season and be able to do our job.”"

Baker said his feelings about Jackson haven’t changed and he doesn’t regret it. I think all of the Dawg Pound is fine with it as he gives them a much-needed edge as the Browns look to sweep the Bengals — and hand yet another L to the unimpressive resume of ‘He Hue Must Not Be Named.’
