It has been just over one year since the Cleveland Browns named John Dorsey as general manager, so we take a look at what were the best moves that he made.

The Cleveland Browns were stuck in the worst stretch of football that the NFL had ever seen. The Browns had just won one game in 2016 and were on their way to becoming the second team in NFL history to go win-less for an entire 16-game season.

Owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam had decided that the trend the organization was heading needed to be changed, so they felt they needed to move on Executive Vice President of Football Operations Sashi Brown and begin to look for a new person to lead the football operations.

Only after hours the Browns relieved Brown of his duties, the organization announced that they would be hiring John Dorsey as the team’s new general manager on December 7th, 2017.

Since being hired as general manager, the team has taken a turn in the right direction. At 6-7-1, the Browns are having their best season since 2014. With one more win, the Browns will have their best record since the 2007 season.

It has been a quick turnaround under Dorsey, as he has quickly added talent to the Browns roster that has made them a competitive team. Brown does deserve credit, however, as he built up the assets that allowed Dorsey to add the talent that he has.

Dorsey has made plenty of moves in just one year as the Browns general manager that has put the team in this position. So here’s a look at the best moves that Dorsey has made as the Browns general manager, so far.
