Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield has had an incredible rookie season. Now, he is the odds-on favorite to become Offensive Rookie of the Year, according to Bovada Sportsbook.

It’s no secret that Baker Mayfield’s rookie year has been spectacular. After so much waiting, Cleveland Browns fans finally have a young quarterback worth cheering for.

Just three touchdowns away from the rookie touchdown record — and about to set the Cleveland rookie record for yardage —  the Browns truly have a special player in Mayfield. And now, the folks out in Las Vegas are beginning to take notice.

According to Bovada Sportsbook, Mayfield is now -130 to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The next closest competitor, New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley, is listed at -110 to win the award.

Mayfield overtook Barkley early Wednesday morning, and will likely stay as the favorite with a strong performance against the Baltimore Ravens in week 17.

General manager John Dorsey has had a great first year, drafting Mayfield as well as running back Nick Chubb and cornerback Denzel Ward. Chubb is listed as a contender for Offensive Rookie of the Year as well, and Ward was an early favorite for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Many debated about who the Browns should take at No. 1 and Barkley was a guy some wanted. Mayfield however, was the choice, and it wasn’t popular with everyone.

The Oklahoma product had some off-field concerns, not to mention his height (6-foot-1) that also scared off a lot of teams. Dorsey ignored the noise and went with who he felt was best and the results speak for themselves.
