The Cleveland Browns and their fans will be focused on the upcoming head coaching search, but there will be other important moves to be made as well.

No one can deny that this season has been a success for the Cleveland Browns. After moving on from head coach Hue Jackson, it became apparent that there was a lot of talent on this roster — which is odd because Jackson spent so much time telling us how bad they all were.

With him no longer holding their players back, guys like Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, and David Njoku started to look much better on offense. They enter Week 17 on a three-game winning streak and they’re 5-2 since Gregg Williams took over as interim head coach and Freddie Kitchens took the reins as the offensive coordinator — in place of Todd Haley who was also fired.

Cleveland now owns a record of 7-7-1 and will help decide who wins the AFC North as a win over the Baltimore Ravens opens the door for the Pittsburgh Steelers. More importantly for the Browns, they could have their first winning season since 2007 when they were 10-6.

Having that happen would be a huge confidence booster heading into the offseason. Even if they can’t get the win though, this season has been a huge success. General manager John Dorsey hit a lot of home runs and even finally found the franchise quarterback that has eluded this team for years in Baker Mayfield.

Now Dorsey looks to finish what he started. Here we look ahead to his 2019 offseason quest to build a team that will be in the postseason next year.
