The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including a story about whether or not they could make a move for Von Miller

Last season, there were plenty of rumors about the Cleveland Browns and their reported interest in some big-name players. Two of those rumors came to fruition as they made trades for quarterback Tyrod Taylor and wide receiver Jarvis Landry.

Cleveland also made a move for safety Damarious Randall, but that one didn’t generate the buzz it should have. Outside of the moves they did make, the Browns were also linked to receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. for much of the offseason.

Nothing materialized there, but the rumors could be starting again with Cleveland and a superstar player. With the Denver Broncos looking like a team ready to make deals, there’s speculation that the Browns could look to add all-pro edge rusher Von Miller.

Could Browns trade for Broncos LB Von Miller? — Matthew Florjancic, WKYC.com

"“John Elway made it known earlier this offseason that he committed to doing whatever is necessary to get the Denver Broncos back into contention, even if that means parting ways with All-Pro edge rusher Von Miller. With that in mind, would the Cleveland Browns be willing to trade draft assets to Denver to acquire the vaunted pass rusher who is capable of wreaking plenty of havoc in opposing backfields?”"

With 11 picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Browns have plenty of capital to make a splash move like this. The question becomes whether they want to tie Miller’s contract into their salary cap. They may be fine now, but some key players will be up for an extension before we know it. Having said that, with their quarterback on his rookie deal, now is the time to make a huge move.
