Round 2: Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa State

This one could end up being a huge move if it works out. Iowa State wide receiver Hakeem Butler was a big name for much of the college season. The over-achieving Cyclones finished the season 8-5 and their head coach, Matt Campbell, became a head coaching candidate in the NFL — with many hoping he would land with the Browns at one point.

Now, the Browns take a player who excelled in 2018 with Campbell. Hakeem Butler was a highlit waiting to happen as the big man excelled at making contested catches downfield, as explained by Benjamin Solak of The Draft Network.

"“Big strides that can eat up ground in a hurry, offering deceptive burst off the line of scrimmage and through route breaks. Has an accordingly large catch radius and addresses the ball well in the air, with over-the-shoulder, back-shoulder, and high-point catches all present on tape.” — Benjamin Solak, The Draft Network"

With Antonio Callaway serving as a deep threat and Jarvis Landry an effective slot receiver, Butler could round out the receiving corps. The 6-foot-6, 225-pound Butler had 60 receptions for 1,318 yards and nine touchdowns last season for the Cyclones and will quickly become a favorite target of Baker Mayfield.
