Cleveland Browns: 7-Round mock draft more exciting than Super Bowl LIII
By Cory Kinnan
Round 2, Pick 17: Oshane Ximines, EDGE, Old Dominion
Remember when I said the Browns lacked depth on their defensive line? Well here in round two of this mock draft, the team addresses that issue again; this time in the form of edge rusher Oshane Ximines from Old Dominion University — a small school talent with big-time production.
Ximines will likely be the first player in Monarch history ever drafted into the NFL and after his Senior year, Senior Bowl production, and expected great testing at the Combine in Indianapolis, expect him to come off of the board in the second round at the latest. The 6-foot-4, 255-pound pass rusher started all four years for Old Dominion and piled on a total of 32.5 sacks and 51 tackles for loss; 11.5 sacks and 18 tackles for loss during his senior season.
Expected to run in the 4.6 range at the combine, Ximines would give Cleveland another explosive athlete across from Garrett and a rotational piece that could come in and compete for playing time with Genard Avery and Ogbah right away. With the team expecting a complete overhaul across the defensive line, do not be surprised if two are taken in back-to-back rounds, as they are mocked in this draft.
