Cleveland Browns predicted as a landing spot for Tyrell Williams

Looking ahead to the offseason moves, ESPN’s Bill Barnwell says the Cleveland Browns could go after Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Tyrell Williams
Last season, the Cleveland Browns added a big-name receiver in Jarvis Landry via trade. After acquiring him from the Miami Dolphins, Cleveland gave Landry a multi-year extension worth roughly $15 million a season.
Even with him under contract, the Browns head into this offseason with wideout considered a big need. The main reason for that is due to Landry being used primarily in the slot. What the Browns really need is a big body on the outside, preferably one with some speed.
One such player is about to be available as Tyrell Williams is scheduled to hit the open market and Bill Barnwell of ESPN thinks the Browns could provide him a nice landing spot. Barnwell predicts the Browns as a potential suitor, even offering an estimated four-year $52 million contract.
"“Cleveland already handed Jarvis Landry a five-year, $75.5 million deal, but with nearly $79 million in cap space, it can afford a luxury weapon for Baker Mayfield. Tyrol Williams’ downfield ability would be a great contrast to Landry and give the Browns a better deep threat than free agent Breshad Perriman.” — Barnwell, ESPN"
Williams, listed at 6-foot-4 and 205-pounds, is more than just a big target. The 26-year old has also served as a deep threat for the Chargers and averages 16.3 yards per reception in his career.
His best season came in 2016 when he filled in for an injured Keenan Allen and recorded 69 receptions and 1,059 yards along with seven touchdowns. The young receiver didn’t get as many targets the past two seasons with Allen healthy and Mike Williams on board but has remained effective for Los Angeles.
As for the Browns, they would have no problem fitting him into the offense. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has had no problem spreading the ball around which means he could get as many opportunities — if not more — with the Browns than he has had with the Bolts.
Signing him would also help in the draft as general manager John Dorsey wouldn’t feel pressure to reach for a pass catcher and can focus on fixing the issues they had on defense in 2018.
