Potential draft picks will report to the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday, Feb. 26. Here is one last Cleveland Browns 7-round mock before the big event begins.

There’s really nothing that feels as long as the NFL offseason does for football fans. It’s felt even longer this offseason for Cleveland Browns fans since 2018 ended on such a high note. After firing Hue Jackson, and saying goodbye to his 3-36-1 record in two and a half seasons, the Browns went 5-3 and saw their young players start to emerge.

With Jackson no longer keeping the best players on the bench ‚— simply because they were young — guys like Baker Mayfield and Nick Chubb were able to shine. Chubb fell just a few yards shy of the 1,000-yard mark and Mayfield broke the record for most touchdown passes in a rookie season.

Cleveland hit it big with those two rookies, but they weren’t the only members of their 2018 NFL Draft class to perform well. Cornerback Denzel Ward, receiver Antonio Callaway, and linebacker Genard Avery were three other players from that class who showed immense potential.

Pair that great return on investment from general manager John Dorsey’s first draft in Cleveland with their successful second half of the season and it makes sense why we are all ready to see what’s next for the Browns.

While the draft itself is still a ways off, we at least can start to get an up-close look at the players who will be available with the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine which begins on Tuesday, Feb. 26. That event might change our minds on some of the prospects while also opening eyes to some new potential targets.

The workouts shouldn’t trump the film that these players have put out there, but oftentimes it does. With all that being said, we take one last shot at predicting what the Cleveland Browns will do in the draft with this pre-Combine 7-Round mock.
