FOX Sports NFL asked fans to vote for their favorite moment during the 2018 NFL Season and the Cleveland Browns first win with Baker Mayfield was the choice

There’s no doubt that Cleveland Browns fans went crazy over their first win in the 2018 NFL Season. And no one could blame them for it either as it came 635 days after their last win.

Cleveland won a game back on Christmas Eve in 2016 but then went 0-16 the following season. They also started out 2018 with a record of 0-1-1, before finally breaking through with a victory over the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football in Week 3.

Fans were thrilled with the win for several reasons. While ending the countdown from their last win was one reason, fans were also thrilled because Bud Light gave out free beer following the victory. But the No. 1 reason for the excitement was clearly the fact that Baker Mayfield announced to the world that he was ready to be a star in the NFL.

And now as we reflect on the 2018 NFL Season, it appears that more than just Browns fans loved the moment as FOX Sports tweeted on Sunday that fans selected that win as the signature moment from this past season.

This game being selected is actually unsurprising. Fans love a good underdog story which led to many pulling for the Browns to end their streak of futility. On top of that, Baker Mayfield is a huge star that draws people to him — even if they aren’t fans of Cleveland.

He was also the No. 1 overall pick and was making his first appearance in relief of an injured Tyrod Taylor on Thursday Night Football. With all eyes on him, Mayfield was able to shine and fans will look back on that win fondly for years to come.
