Many names at offensive tackle have been connected to the Cleveland Browns, and one that they keep coming back to is Olisaemeka Udoh from a small school called Elon

Thanks to the recent re-signing of left tackle Greg Robinson, the Cleveland Browns have options. Robinson played well enough to earn a contract that could be worth up to $9 million which proves they have faith in him as the left tackle in 2019 which could lead to them waiting until later in the draft to add another offensive tackle — which is a stark contrast from many early mock drafts where the team went for a tackle at No. 17.

Should they decide to wait until beyond the first round, there could be some options for them to groom — and they may be tipping their hand as to a player they would like to add in such a role. A small-school prospect by the name of Olisaemeka Udoh seems to be garnering a lot of attention from the Browns.

On Friday, Udoh said he has now spoken with the Browns at the East-West Shrine Game, the Senior Bowl, and the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine. Udoh is an intriguing prospect who played at a little-known North Carolina school called Elon and is still working into shape for the NFL.

More from Browns Draft

The 6-foot-5 Udoh joined Elon at 384-pounds and has worked his way down to 323-pounds. He hasn’t played at this weight for long and believes he will only get better the more time he gets on the field in the shape he’s currently in.

"“Check the later tape, I guess,” he said via Doug Lesmerises of Cleveland.com. “When you’re evaluating me for April, I definitely want you to see the East-West Shrine and the Senior Bowl and our playoff game and a couple games before that. I can only get better at this weight. It’s pretty exciting to be able to say the best is yet to come.”"

Udoh was a star of the Shrine Game, which led to his invite to the Senior Bowl. Should he continue to turn heads, it could be more difficult for the Browns to try and steal him with a late-round pick. Still, adding a rising player with one of their mid-round picks wouldn’t be a bad idea at all.

He wouldn’t be pressed into action early either thanks to the presence of Greg Robinson but could end up being the long-term answer.
