The Cleveland Browns have the money to make noise in free agency and they should consider targeting these free agents from the NFC West.

The Cleveland Browns enter one of their most important off-seasons they have had in several years. However, the importance of the 2019 off-season is because of a different reason than the previous off-seasons.

For several years prior, the off-season was important for the Browns because they had a high draft selection and needed to find their franchise quarterback. If they could find the right talent, then the organization had the ability to get themselves out of the gutter.

But after finding their franchise quarterback last off-season, things are different for the Cleveland Browns. Baker Mayfield has changed the perspective in the organization and also the perspective of the team from around the league.

There is a lot of optimism surrounding the Browns because of Mayfield and the talent on both sides of the ball. Because of the Browns’ talent, there is reason to believe the Browns can compete for the postseason next year.

That is why this off-season is so important. If the Browns can find the right pieces in free agency and the draft, then they could set themselves up to compete for their first postseason appearance since 2002.

The Browns will enter the free agency period as one of the teams with the most cap space to play with. It remains a question if Cleveland will use that cap space, however.

Since the Browns could go a variety of directions in free agency, we will take a look at one free agent from each team across the NFL that the Browns should target, starting off with the NFC West.
