The Cleveland Browns have the money to make noise in free agency and they should consider targeting these free agents from the AFC East.

The Cleveland Browns have the opportunity to be active during the free agency period considering they are one of five teams with the most cap space this off-season, according to Spotrac.

With how well the team performed at the end of last season, there is reason to believe that the Browns are adding one or two big-time players away from becoming a serious threat in the AFC North and putting themselves in contention for the playoffs.

In the 2019 free agency period, there are several players that are near the top of the league at their positions. If the Browns want to make a big move this off-season, they will have the opportunity to do so in free agency.

However, there is a good possibility that the Browns feel comfortable with their current talent and avoid taking a big dent out of their cap space to sign a high-priced free agent.

Instead, Browns general manager John Dorsey may feel that he needs to supplement the current talent on his roster with solid depth pieces that won’t cost as much as the bigger names. Considering the Browns will have to give out some large extensions over the next several seasons, preserving the cap space with short-term deals would make a lot of sense.

As we preview the 2019 free agent class, we will take a look at one free agent from each team in the league that the Browns should target. Here’s a look at the free agents the Browns should target in free agency from the AFC East.
