Cleveland Browns: Joint 7-round mock draft after 2019 NFL Scouting Combine
By Cory Kinnan
After the combine, it is time for an updated 7-round mock draft for the Cleveland Browns, done in a joint Dawg Pound Daily effort.
The 2019 NFL Scouting Combine is almost over, with the defensive backs set to test today. While names like Montez Sweat, Quinnen Williams, and Devin White solidified themselves as top-tier prospects, other potential first rounders such as Kyler Murray, Ed Oliver, and Josh Jacobs did not test.
In a class with elite defensive line talent, those previously mocked to the Browns like Brian Burns may not be on the board at 17 anymore after an electric performance in Indianapolis. This leaves the Browns in a position where the elite edge rushing talent will be gone, and may have to snag another position in the first round.
Good news for them is that there is a ton of defensive talent to go around in the first round. With teams more than likely trading up in a frenzy to snag quarterbacks Dwayne Haskins, Murray, and Drew Lock, some quality players will fall into the laps of Dorsey and his team.
In this edition of the Browns’ 7-round mock, we have three contributors on the Dawg Pound Daily team making selections in a joint mock draft. Site Expert Randy (@rgurzi81), and contributors Shane (@ShaneCarterTx) and Cory (@realcorykinnan) have the future of Cleveland in their hands as they perform open-heart surgery on this draft class and hope to add an infusion of youth and talent to this Browns roster.
