The Cleveland Browns will look to free agency to build depth, and they could do just that with some of the free agents from the AFC South.

There have been a lot of expectations that the Cleveland Browns will be one of the big spenders when the NFL’s free agency period opens next week.

After showing that they are near the end of their rebuild and were able to win games, the Browns appear a few players away from reaching the playoffs and making a run in the postseason.

The Browns enter free agency with some of the most cap space in the entire league. There is a lot of talent available in free agency this off-season, and there are several at positions of need for the Browns.

However, it does not appear that Browns general manager John Dorsey is ready to make a bunch of headlines with signings this off-season. Dorsey said at the Combine that he does not believe the Browns are a team “ready to go for it yet.”

That does not mean that Dorsey and the Browns will be quiet in free agency. But it does sound like that he does not plan on breaking the bank for one or two of the top free agents.

Instead, it seems more likely that Dorsey will use free agency to build depth at positions and create plenty of competition across the roster.

As we preview the 2019 free agent class, we take a look at free agents from each team across the league that the Browns should consider targeting, with the AFC South the next division we look at.
