With the Scouting Combine behind us, it’s time to look at 2019 NFL Free Agency and here is a prediction of the Cleveland Browns biggest moves in the upcoming period of offseason

Going back to last season, the Cleveland Browns have started to build the reputation as being a team on the rise. After going 1-31 between the 2016 and 2017 seasons, general manager John Dorsey came in and overhauled the entire roster.

In doing so, he started to change the image of the franchise. The first sign of this change came when they landed wideout Jarvis Landry via trade from the Miami Dolphins. With plenty of leverage coming off a season in which he led the NFL in receptions, Landry quickly signed a lucrative extension with Cleveland.

They also were able to convince linebacker Mychal Kendricks to choose them over the Oakland Raiders and Minnesota Vikings. Of course, he ended up being cut following an insider trading allegation, but he was still a highly-sought after free agent at the time and believed in what was going on in The Land.

Looking ahead to the coming 2019 offseason, there’s plenty of optimism that the Browns can land some even bigger fish. Following a 5-3 run down the stretch, this club showed they can compete. Quarterback Baker Mayfield is a rising star and new head coach Freddie Kitchens proved he can be an offensive innovator.

They also have an impressive coaching staff around Kitchens which includes Steve Wilks at defensive coordinator, who was instrumental in turning the Carolina Panthers into a defensive threat for years before heading to the Arizona Cardinals last season.

With all this being said, Cleveland should be players in the open market. Here are five predictions for moves they could make as they look to take the next step in 2019.
