With free agency set to open in a few days, here are three linebackers looking for new contracts that the Cleveland Browns should kick the tires on

After releasing Jamie Collins, the Cleveland Browns will have to add another starting linebacker this coming season. While moving on from Collins makes sense, the fact is this position was already lacking in depth beyond their three starters, so they could look to add multiple players this offseason in an effort to shore up the mid-level of their defense.

There’s a big chance they could do this in the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft, but the fact is this class doesn’t boast a lot of star power. Granted, both Devin White out of LSU and Devin Bush from Michigan can play, but the drop off in talent after the two Devin’s is significant.

That could lead to the Browns looking for free agents to help fill their holes in this area. While they will surely add some young players for depth, they could also look for a veteran or two who is capable of starting should they not land either White or Bush in the 2019 NFL Draft.

With that being said, the Browns could be active when free agency kicks off at 4:00 p.m. EST on March 13. With that just around the corner, here are three names that could interest Cleveland general manager John Dorsey in their pursuit of a better stable of linebackers in 2019 — beginning with a name that’s familiar to newly hired defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.
