1. C.J. Mosley, Baltimore Ravens

The final player highlighted here will be Baltimore Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley. The former first-round draft pick out of Alabama was surprisingly not slapped with the franchise tag, which makes him a free agent —‚ and he will easily be the most sought after linebacker this offseason.

At just 26-years of age, Mosley is just beginning to hit his prime, and he’ s absolutely one of the best in the game. In four of his five seasons in the NFL, Mosley has been credited with more than 100 tackles. The one season he didn’t hit the mark was in 2016 when he missed two games and ended up with 92 tackles.

Overall, he has 597 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and nine interceptions. He would bring the kind of playmaking skill the Browns need on defense which makes him well worth offering a huge contract to.

What makes Mosley most appealing is that he’s graded as an excellent run defender by Pro Football Focus (subscription required). The analytical website gave him a grade of 80.1 against the run, which is something the Browns desperately need. On top of that, they could poach him from an AFC North rival, which makes such a signing even more enticing.
