Fans already love John Dorsey, but the Cleveland Browns general manager gave them more to like as he gifted some Steelers fans a bowl of tears
Here’s yet another reason to love Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey.
Picture this:
It’s mealtime at Bender’s Tavern, a historic steak and seafood restaurant in Canton, OH.
It just so happens Dorsey is there grabbing food, and as he’s walking about the place he spots a table full of Browns fans enjoying some grub.
Then Mr. Dorsey, the man who’s terribly busy turning the Browns around from winless to playoff-bound, actually takes the time to stop and chat with these Dawg Pounders – how cool that must have been – and that’s when he notices that something is terribly wrong at the table.
A Pittsburgh Steelers fan is sitting among them.
(pause for Boos)
Apparently, Dorsey talks some more with these Browns fans and the ‘other’ for a few more minutes and then walks away.
Already a memorable story for those orange-and-brown folks, but check out what happens next.
Dorsey returns with a tray full of drinks and hands them out to the Browns backers, but when he gets to the Steelers’ fan, there are no more drinks left.
Just a bowl of onions.
That’s right, Browns fans, your GM took the time to hand a Steeler’s fan a giant bowl of tears, probably rubbing it in a bit that they’ve just lost their two best players.
Boo hoo, ha ha.
Totally SpongeBobbed.
Here’s the true account on Twitter, according to @mslaughter63.
Since John Dorsey has come to Cleveland, being a Browns fan is not only hip again, it’s fun. So much fun. Like, last-century Bernie Kosar/Jim Brown/Otto Graham kinda fun, where anything can happen.
Like a giant bowl of onions for the Steelers.
And a record full of wins for the Browns.
By Dorsey, it’s all possible.
