With the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine completed we take another look at how the entire draft will play out for the Cleveland Browns with this seven-round mock

After the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine, things seemed to start heating up for the Cleveland Browns as they were dominating headlines in terms of trade rumors. This started when general manager John Dorsey was seen talking it up with Dave Gettleman of the New York Giants.

This led to a ton of speculation that the team was trying to pry Odell Beckham, Jr. out of the Giants’ hands, but that never happened. That doesn’t mean there weren’t talks between the two clubs and we all became aware of that when the Browns sent right guard Kevin Zeitler to New York in exchange for edge rusher Olivier Vernon.

There’s no doubt that Vernon makes the Browns better. It could also change the way Cleveland attacks the draft. Knowing they were in need of a pass rusher opposite Myles Garrett, there was a good chance one could be had with the No. 17 overall pick.

Players such as Montez Sweat and Brian Burns turned heads with their workouts and made a lot of sense with the club. Now with Vernon, the focus is sure to shift in the upcoming draft.

Can they fill their holes and take the next step in their pursuit of ending their long playoff drought? We try and answer that very question as we offer up another seven-round mock draft for the Cleveland Browns.
