Round 5, Pick 6: Oli Udoh, OT, Elon

The Browns could look to add an offensive tackle earlier in the draft, but considering their offensive line got it done with Chris Hubbard and Greg Robinson at tackle in the final eight games of 2018, they decide to wait and draft a player who is raw but has immense potential in Oli Udoh out of Elon.

Udoh already met with the Browns at the Scouting Combine and could be a potential starter down the road. His addition gives them two project players at the position as he joins Desmond Harrison, their 2018 undrafted rookie from West Georgia. Should both reach their potential, the Browns could have some talented bookends while still adding a ton of skill position players with their plethora of draft picks.

Round 5, Pick 17: Wyatt Ray, EDGE, Boston College

Emmanuel Ogbah is currently on the roster as a reserve defensive end, but there’s a chance they could look to move him still. Ideally, he would stick around and give them three players who are hard for offensive lines to deal with. Whether they do that or not, adding more depth is always a good idea and they do that here with Wyatt Ray out of Boston College.

Ray doesn’t get the attention that Zach Allen does, but he provided the Eagles another quality defensive lineman during his career at BC. Ray was a reserve behind Harold Landry but became a starter in 2018 and took off with 44 tackles and nine sacks. He would go higher had he been able to have sustained success in college, but he could develop into a solid depth piece still.
