The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including the team discussing changes to their uniforms for the 2020 season

While at the annual NFL Owner’s Meetings, Jimmy and Dee Haslam took some time to discuss the future of their Cleveland Browns franchise. One of the topics they touched on was the team’s uniform.

Since 2016, the Browns have been sporting their current look — and it hasn’t been popular among fans. The good news is, it will soon be a thing of the past as the Haslam’s said the team will have a new look in 2020. They also said they believe they got it right.

We have to wait for any kind of sneak peeks, but there could be a chance that some variation of the brown color rush jersey could be in the works. That was the jersey they had in their first win this season and fans loved it. Or, they could go in a completely different direction.

Whatever it is, the Haslam’s say they think they got it right this time. That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Haslams say Browns will wear new uniforms in 2020 and they’ll keep the stadium’s location — Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland.com

"Dee Haslam likes what the Browns will wear in 2020. “I think we got it right this time,’’ she said.Asked for sneak preview, she said, “I think you need to be surprised.”"

While new uniforms will be nice, perhaps even better news is that First Energy Stadium is staying put. There has been talk about looking for a new home, but the location is so perfect that it made no sense to move.

Schedule-guessers have Browns headed to New England for Sunday night opener — Pat McManamon, ESPN

"“A grand opening in New England in 2019?That’s the buzz about the Cleveland Browns, as speculation that they would be the New England Patriots’ opening-game opponent swirled soon after the NFL announced that the defending Super Bowl champions would open in Foxborough on Sunday night.”"

The fact that this is even an option is a nod to how much the Browns have changed as a team. No longer the laughingstock of the league, the NFL is now considering kicking the season off with this franchise that’s full of young stars. ANd yes, they absolutely should do this. I mean, we all liked seeing Brady pass his rings off to Baker in the NFL commercial at the Super Bowl, now we could get a better passing of the torch here.

John Harbaugh: Cleveland Browns are ‘most talented team’ in AFC North

The head coach of the Baltimore Ravens wasn’t about to give the Browns any bulletin board material when he was asked about them. He knows this team is talented and it was probably wise to say what he did. Either that, or he was being honest — because it’s true.
