Following the demise of the Alliance of American Football, there are some players who should generate interest from the Cleveland Browns.

The Cleveland Browns and general manager John Dorsey have shown that they will do whatever they can to add talent to the roster and build the strongest team they can over the past year and a half.

Dorsey has shown a willingness to give several players second chances, whether it be first-round busts (Breshad Perriman) or players with off-field problems (Kareem Hunt, Antonio Callaway) to create the best roster possible.

In order to build a competitive roster, Dorsey is going to pursue every avenue to find a player who might be overlooked by the rest of the league. And it would be no surprise if Dorsey pursues the avenue of the Alliance of American Football and he attempts to sign some standouts from he league.

On Wednesday, the AAF announced it will be suspending operations after playing eight weeks of its season. The announcement was followed by reports that chairman Tom Dundon pulled funding from the league.

After Dundon pulled out of his investment, it left the league with no other choice than to suspend operations. And it is expected in the coming days that the league will announce it is permanently shutting down.

Because of this development, the league announced Thursday that all AAF players are free to sign with NFL teams, effective immediately. Although most players are likely to go unsigned, some of the players who emerged as the best in the league should be able to find suitors in the NFL.

Here is a look at five players from the AAF that the Cleveland Browns should consider targeting and potentially add to compete for roster spots during training camp.
