3. Offensive Tackle

Unlike the first two positions mentioned, the Browns are not exactly set at offensive tackle. They aren’t desperate for starters either though, which is why this one comes in at No. 3 on their needs list.

As of now, Cleveland has their starters in Greg Robinson and Chris Hubbard. However, there’s no telling what they will get out of them in 2019. Robinson was on the bench to start the season and Hubbard struggled for the first eight games. Then, Hue Jackson was fired and Robinson was named the new left tackle — sending undrafted rookie Desmond Harrison to the bench.

With G-Rob and Hubbard as the tackles, the Browns turned a corner in the final eight games and allowed just five sacks. This led to Robinson getting a new one-year deal from the team. That was the smartest way to handle his situation as it gives him a shot to prove himself, while also protecting Cleveland should he struggle to match the production he had in the second half of 2018.

Should he fail to earn a new deal, or if Hubbard continues to underperform on the contract he was given last year, the Browns would look smart if they had another player ready to step in. On the flip side, if both Robinson and Hubbard step up this season, they could have some solid depth if they find someone with the ability to develop into a starter.
