Following a grueling 32-team tournament and some Twitter bot controversy, the Fox Sports Twitter poll has crowned the best fanbase in the world. Without a doubt, the Cleveland Browns have taken the throne, and deservedly so.

As if there was ever any doubt, the Dawg Pound has arisen to the throne as the best fanbase in the NFL. Cleveland Browns fans saw the fruits of their Twitter-voting efforts fully realized on Monday night, as the Fox Sports NFL poll tournament officially crowned them the best fanbase in the world, taking down the eighth-seeded Tennessee Titans with 70 percent of the votes.

The Browns opened as a six seed in this tournament, but this Cinderella story got rolling quickly. The Dawg Pound smashed through most of their competition before meeting a slight hiccup in the Final Four against the Chicago Bears.

A worthy opponent, but Browns fans had their number. And as the championship round dawned, controversy arose on the opposite side of the bracket.

Allegedly, multiple Titans fans took to the seedy underbelly of the social media world, buying thousands of voting bots in order to upset their Final Four opponent, the Buffalo Bills. The Titans jumped over 20,000 votes in less than a minute, and multiple tweets have provided clear evidence, even some receipts, that show that bot purchases occurred. But what these Titans fans failed to consider, is that the “Bills Mafia” can be a vengeful bunch.

Bills fans came out in droves to help the Browns secure the win in the championship round. With over 200,000 total votes tallied, the Titans were no match for the Browns, the Bills, and thousands of other fans from around the league. What all of the Dawg Pound already knew is only confirmed by these results: the Browns have the best fans in the world, and they, at least for now, are America’s Team.
