Cleveland Browns: Happy Birthday Baker Mayfield

Baker Mayfield is turning 24 years old, and that calls for a nice birthday shout out to him from all of us. In his short time so far with the Browns, he’s done some amazing things. He ended our long search for a franchise quarterback and has stolen the hearts of Clevelanders everywhere.
When he isn’t busy breaking NFL records, dropping the most quotable catch phrases, and helping out the community, he truly has become one of us at the end of the day. He’s worked for what he has. He worked his way up from a walk-on into a Heisman Trophy winner, and eventually the number one pick in the 2018 NFL draft.

A lot of us from Northeast Ohio can say the same. We’ve worked so hard to get to where we want to be in life. We are a region in the United States defined by our grit, integrity, and dedication to all the things going on in our lives.
These similar traits Mayfield shares with us are similar to other athletes that have not only played in Cleveland, but won our hearts too, such as Cavs guard Matthew Dellavedova for example. Their dedication to their work and determination to bring out the best in their teammates and continue to grow everyday is electric.
As LeBron James once best said, “In Northeast Ohio, nothing is given. Everything is earned. You work for what you have.”, Mayfield has lived this mantra and brings it to Browns every single day. You can’t help but to rally around him and support him in everything he does.
He is not only our quarterback, but he is also apart of our Northeast Ohio family. He is one of us, in and out. So here’s to you, Baker. Happy Birthday 24th Birthday, from Browns fans everywhere. We’re glad you can call Cleveland your home, and we hope you have the most dangerous year of your life yet!
