Cleveland Browns will host Tennessee Titans in 2019 season opener
Second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield and the new-look Cleveland Browns will have their first chance to show off their talents on September 8th. The Browns will host the Tennessee Titans at FirstEnergy Stadium at 1:00 EST.
The Cleveland Browns will come into 2019 as one of the league’s most eye-catching, bandwagon-filled worthy teams.
Under the leadership of second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield and new head coach Freddie Kitchens, the Browns have a chance to be one of the league’s best in the coming seasons.
Confirmed by Tennessee Titans reporter Paul Kuharsky, the Browns will host the Titans week one as a 1:00 EST start time.
The Browns played the Titans for three years straight from 2015-2017, coming away with a 1-2 record. But, all signs point to those Browns “dark ages” being behind us, as the team showed tremendous promise down the stretch in 2018.
With all the talent Cleveland acquired in the offseason, facing the Titans, a team that just missed the playoffs last season, should be a great test for the new-look Browns.
The Dawg Pound will certainly be rocking in Week 1, and likely throughout the entire season as the Browns look to push for the playoffs for the first time since 2002.
Cleveland will follow up the Titans game with a trip to New York as the take on the Jets on Monday Night Football, and then they’ll return home to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night in week three.
The rest of the schedule will officially be released at 8:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday night.
