Fourth Quarter

Week 14: Cincinnati – Win

The home stretch starts with the Bengals at home. It will also start with a win at home.

Week 15: @ Arizona – Win

To be honest, I would have preferred this game to be earlier in the season. Traveling to the desert in December is a nice treat for fans and the media, but it’s a tough trip for the team. As the only non-divisional game in the final four, this has the smell of a trap game. Will this be Mayfield versus Rosen or Mayfield versus Murray? That answer should become clear in about a week. This pick may change as the season gets closer, but I give this one to the Browns right now.

Week 16: Baltimore – Win

This may be the game that clinches the division for the Browns, and that is a game I can’t wait to see Baker Mayfield play in. Once again, I think depth plays an important role here. With attrition setting in for both teams, the Browns use a healthy dose of Hunt (now in mid-season form) to get past the Ravens.

Week 17: @ Cincinnati – Win

The Browns may still have something to play for in terms of playoff seeding. Even if they have the opportunity to rest starters, the Bengals will be running out the string at this point and looking to start their vacation. The Browns produce a workmanlike season finale as a tune-up for the playoffs.

Fourth quarter record: 4-0

Overall record: 12-4

I just checked my coffee cup and I’m not drinking, but I did come up with 12-4. Seems high at least for a first pass, but last year I had 6-10 at this point so … maybe I’m not too far off. What do you have fans? Let us know in the comments.
