With one week to go before the real thing takes place, we offer up another attempt at guessing what the Cleveland Browns will do in the 2019 NFL Draft

The 2019 NFL Draft is nearly here as the Cleveland Browns will begin making their draft moves in one week. There has been endless speculation about which direction they will go with the No. 49 overall pick — and that’s about to come to an end. Having said that, this one is different than in recent seasons.

Cleveland fans have become accustomed to seeing their club draft early. In fact, they’ve been the center of attention the past two drafts as they owned the No. 1 overall pick in 2017 and 2018. They also made several moves to land other picks as well.

In 2017, they ended up making three selections in the opening round. At No. 1, they took Myles Garrett out of Texas A&M. They then traded the 12th overall pick and wound up making a selection at No. 25 and 29. Those picks landed them Jabrill Peppers and David Njoku respectively.

By trading the No. 12 pick that season, they ended up with a second pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. They used that on Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward after taking Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield with their own first pick.

Now this season, they’re not going to be part of the first round at all without a trade. While general manager John Dorsey has hinted at a move up, it’s impossible to predict what he would be willing to give up and where he would want to go. With that being said, we offer up a mock draft based on what players could help them assuming they stay put with all their selections.
