Cleveland Browns: Joint 7-round mock draft, the week of the main event

Round 2, Pick 49: Taylor Rapp, S Washington
Taylor Rapp would be a younger more polished Jabrill Peppers. Consistent play at safety throughout his career. Not great in deep coverage but if it’s in front of him he can stop it.
Round 3, Pick 80: Zach Allen, Edge Boston College
Really high on this kid. High motor that always runs hot is a win for coaches and teammates. Should be able to play inside with his size and motor. Let him soak up double teams and beat down in the A gap.
Round 4, Pick 119: Michael Jackson, CB, Miami
The King of pop is back baby! Man coverage is his specialty. We saw what Denzel Ward was able to do with man coverage as his specialty.
Round 5, Pick 144: Isaac Nauta, TE Georgia
I am not turned away from him as an athlete. His combine was awful, but he proved in Georgia that he can produce on a small scale and when needed. The Browns have plenty of talented pass catchers, but he can block well too. Nauta would be a decent option with having the ability to block and catch. A younger and more athletic back up to Njoku.
Round 5, Pick 155: Bobby Evans, OT Oklahoma
According to The Draft Network, he projects as a starting Left Tackle in the NFL. Played on a good offense against solid competition. Why not Browns fans?
Round 5, Pick 170: Sheldrick Redwine, S Miami
Played cornerback before converting to safety, would look to convert back to corner and advance man cover skills to play opposite Denzel Ward.
Round 6, Pick 189: Ben Burr-Kirven, LB Washington
Best fit will be in 4-3 as a Will linebacker. Here we go Brownies, here we go! The man led the nation in tackles. Nuff said.
Round 7, Pick 221: Wyatt Ray, Edge Boston College
Grabbing Ray this late would be a steal. Having both starters from a solid Boston College defensive line will bolster depth and maintain chemistry for some new guys coming into the league.
