After sitting out the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns will get in on the action on Friday night and these five names could be on their radar.

It’s never easy having to sit out the first round, and really that feeling is incredibly new to Cleveland Browns fans. Over the past two seasons alone, Cleveland has made a total of five picks in the first round — and had the No. 1 overall selection in each of those campaigns.

Now in the 2019 NFL Draft, they had to sit back on Thursday night and watch things unfold thanks to them trading away the No. 17 pick in the Odell Beckham, Jr. deal. There were whispers that they might try to creep back into the first, and with general manager John Dorsey calling the shots, it would have been unsurprising to see him make a move.

While he didn’t jump around a lot in his first season with the Browns, he has gone for the splash play in the past — like when he jumped from the later portion of the first round with the Kansas City Chiefs to draft Patrick Mahomes.

Unfortunately, nothing materialized and the Browns front office ended up watching the 32 players names called as they patiently waited for Friday night to be able to make their move. But which direction might they go once they are on the clock?

Here, we look ahead to the second round and try to identify five players who could be on the radar for the Browns when the second round kicks off.
