Cleveland Browns 2019 NFL Draft: 6 players still available on Day 3
By Randy Gurzi
The Cleveland Browns have five picks remaining on Day 3 of the 2019 NFL Draft. Here are six players still available they might consider targeting.
The Cleveland Browns had a great second day of the draft. After having to sit out the first round, they ended up landing one of the best cornerback prospects in the class as they moved up a few spots and took LSU’s Greedy Williams.
Considered a first-round pick by plenty of scouts, falling to 46 wasn’t expected for Williams. That ended up being just fine for the Browns, who now pair him with 2018 first-round pick Denzel Ward. This creates arguably the best cornerback duo in the AFC North.
With their second pick, they landed linebacker Sione Takitaki, who wasn’t as big of a name as Williams, but he did have a lot of production at linebacker for BYU. In his final season, Takitaki had 119 tackles and four sacks — but he does have some baggage as he was suspended quite often early in his career. To be fair, those issues seem to be long gone as he developed into a team captain before his time in the NCAA was done.
Now with just one day remaining, the Browns look to fill their roster out with as much talent as they can. They have five picks remaining after trading one of their three fifth-round picks to move up for Williams. But what kind of talent can they get with those picks?
We try and answer that here as we identify six potential targets in the final three rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft.
