Before the 2019 NFL Draft, Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey mentioned that the defensive line was the strength of the draft class.
But when it came for the Browns to make their selections on Friday and Saturday, they curiously did not select a defensive linemen. It raised some eyebrows considering adding depth to the defensive line has been one of the priorities for the Browns this offseason.
However, Dorsey may have had a purpose to not selecting a defensive line prospect. Instead, he may be trying to add a proven veteran to Cleveland’s defensive line.

There are a lot of expectations for the Browns entering the 2019 season, including potentially making the playoffs for the first time since 2002. So the Browns being favored to miss the playoffs by the Vegas sportsbook is quite surprising.

The Browns were able to get a potential steal in the fifth-round of the 2019 NFL Draft when they selected Alabama linebacker Mack Wilson. Mitch Zoloty thinks Wilson could have the same impact in his rookie season as last year’s fifth-round pick, Genard Avery.
