1. Nick Chubb, Running Back

This one may actually be the least shocking on the list. Nick Chubb was great as a rookie, racking up 996 yards and eight touchdowns as a rookie despite only starting nine games — and hardly getting the ball in the ones he didn’t start.

A second-round pick out of Georgia, Chubb has the making of a franchise back, but may not start the entire season for Cleveland. That’s because the Browns added former NFL rushing leader Kareem Hunt in the offseason.

By now, we all know the story around Hunt. A video was released that showed him in a physical altercation with a woman where he pushed and kicked her in a Cleveland hotel. He was subsequently released by the Chiefs and was also hit with an eight-game suspension by the league.

Since then, he’s been trying to prove he’s a changed man. He’s made appearances where he’s spoken to youth emploring them to avoid the same mistakes he made. He’s also been openly apologetic about what took place and is trying to do what he can to put it behind him.

It will take more than this to rehab his image — and he may never be able to do enough for that to take place — but there’s no denying his talent. When Hunt’s on the field, he’s one of the best backs in the NFL.

That’s why he got another chance and as long as he doesn’t step outside the lines again, there’s no reason to think that he won’t get the bulk of the carries in The Land, which could put Chubb back to the No. 2 spot.
