The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Odell Beckham, Jr. turning heads at the 2019 Met Gala

With rookie minicamps taking place, there are bits and pieces of Cleveland Browns news trickling through as players on tryouts have made the cut, whereas others have unfortunately been waved.

Outside of these roster transactions, veterans on the Browns have also been making the news. First, it was Baker Mayfield living it up at the Kentucky Derby with an all-star cast of players and coaches.

Now, it’s wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. who showed up to the 2019 Met Gala wearing a sleeveless tuxedo and black kilt.

Look: Browns’ Odell Beckham in Sleeveless Tuxedo Jacket, Kilt at 2019 Met Gala — Scott Polacek, Bleacher Report

"“I told them no off the rip,” Beckham said Sunday about wearing the kilt, per Cam Wolf of GQ. “I was like, ‘There’s no chance I’m wearing that.’ On the way here I was like: ‘Can you make sure they bring it just in case? I might just do it just to do it.'”"

Not everyone could pull off the look, but OBJ did. He was able to turn heads at the Met Gala not long after Baker Mayfield kicked off the Kentucky Derby. It’s starting to be cool to be on the Browns.

Browns sign three tryout players from rookie mini-camp

Cornerback Jhavonte Dean, running back Trayone Gray, and linebacker Willie Harvey all signed contracts with the Browns after a rookie minicamp tryout. It’s a great opportunity for them but on the flipside, three players were waived to make room on the roster.

4 potential breakout stars in 2019

Last season, there were a few breakout stars such as Baker Mayfield and Myles Garrett. In 2019, there should be even more — and these are the four most likely players to have a big season.

Analyzing the Browns rookies: LB Sione Takitaki — Nick Shook, ClevelandBrowns.com

"“Thanks to his athleticism, versatility and range, Takitaki should fit well in Steve Wilks’ defense, which uses interchangeable linebackers. We might have only seen the very beginning of what Takitaki could do, too, because he only played linebacker in college for one season (he also played the position in high school). More experience at the position at an even higher level, with his level of intensity, should produce even better results.”"

Most of us asked “who?” when Sione Takitaki was announced as the pick, but he’s growing on everyone who studies his tape. That’s a great sign as he’s starting to look like a solid pick for Cleveland.

Nick Saban says Freddie Kitchens will do ‘great job’ for Cleveland Browns

Freddie Kitchens and Nick Saban share an Alabama connection and the Crimson Tide head coach makes no secret that he believes in the rookie head coach. Dan Justik has the story on Saban’s opinion of Kitchens.
