The Cleveland Browns added a lot of talent in the offseason which has left several players with a lot to prove heading into this season

All the talk for the Cleveland Browns this offseason has been about the players added to their team and the improvement we will see on the field due to these changes. With Baker Mayfield taking over under center last season, the offense improved drastically from the season before.

Now, adding players such as Odell Beckham, Jr. has people thinking of them reaching all new heights — especially when he’s paired with his best friend Jarvis Landry as well as some other talented playmakers such as Nick Chubb and Antonio Callaway.

As for their defense, it was still an issue in 2018 although they showed plenty of signs of being close. They had some young players such as Denzel Ward shine as he made the Pro Bowl as a rookie, but there were still holes that needed to be addressed.

General manager John Dorsey seems to have done that by adding veterans Olivier Vernon and Sheldon Richardson and then using the majority of their draft picks on defensive players as well. While this is all great, it does add a lot of competition to their roster and puts many players on notice.

With that being said, we look here at the five members of the Browns roster with the most to prove as we head into the 2019 season.

Honorable Mention: Austin Seibert, Kicker

It’s not often a kicker would make such a list, but the Oklahoma product is going to have quite the spotlight on him in 2019. The Browns used a fifth-round pick (the one obtained in the Josh Gordon trade) to acquire his services.

Using such a high draft pick on a kicker puts even more pressure than normal on him to succeed, and he will have to do so early to avoid losing the trust of his coaches and the fans as well.
