4. Greg Robinson, Left Tackle

For the next player with the most to prove, we move to another offensive lineman in Greg Robinson. A former No. 2 overall pick, Robinson found a second chance at NFL success in 2018 with the Browns. Originally taken by the St. Louis Rams, Robinson lasted just three seasons there as they struggled to find him a home at either tackle or guard. In 2017, he was traded to the Detroit Lions in exchange for a sixth-round pick.

Robinson didn’t last the full season with Detroit as he was waived in early November with an injury designation. He reverted to waivers as no one claimed him — due in part to a lingering ankle injury. It took him until June of 2018 to find a new home after that as the Browns brought him in as a reserve tackle during training camp.

He began the season behind undrafted free agent Desmond Harrison, but when head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley were fired, he was promoted to first-string. Robinson played well enough to help Cleveland protect Baker Mayfield better than they could have hoped. He was sacked just five times in the second half of the season.

For his part in that success, Robinson was given a new contract with the Browns. However, the deal was only for one season as he is being asked to prove he can be the long-term answer. At just 26-years old, he has enough time to still have a long and successful career, but how he plays in 2019 will help determine if he can do that or not.
