The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Odell Beckham, Jr. clarifying his “Patriots’ comment

We all knew it wouldn’t be long before the critics started to come out. Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. was feeling good at the Met Gala and ended up saying that he wanted the Browns to become the new ‘Patriots’.

Now, anyone should have seen his comments and thought that he simply meant they were striving for greatness, which is fine. However, some took it as a bold claim and felt OBJ was drinking too much orange and brown kool-aid.

Due to this, the star wide receiver felt the need to come out and clarify his comments. No, he wasn’t guaranteeing Super Bowl wins but was pointing to the best in the game and saying he wants to bring that work ethic and excellence to The Land. And that’s perfectly fine by us.

Odell Beckham Jr. clarifies his comments about turning the Browns into the new Patriots — Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland.com

"“Just to clarify, I will always aspire to be great,’’ he wrote out in text in his Instagram story. “I haven’t reached that point in the NFL but that’s what we all chase and I’m going to continue to work to help the Browns become great. [I] never meant the Browns are the new Patriots or going to be the new Patriots. I just have great respect for what they’ve done but definitely recognize the work that has to be done to get there.”"

What I find crazy is that someone has to explain wanting to be great. OBJ simply pointed to the best team in the game and said that’s what he wants. It’s ok to chase big dreams, even when people don’t like it.

Browns: Top 5 fantasy football impact players — Cory Kinnan, NFL Spin Zone

"“The most important draft now that the 2019 NFL Draft has concluded will be each of the millions of fantasy football drafts that will take place as the season draws closer. While it may be too early to make any sort of fantasy rankings, post-draft is a good time to refresh each team’s contributors and who could see their fantasy significance rise or fall. For once, the Cleveland Browns have a handful of significant contributors to keep tabs on once fantasy football season rolls around.”"

All the usual suspects are there for Kinnan, but he has a surprise pick as the No. 1 Cleveland fantasy player in 2019.
