Daily Dawg Tags: L.J. Scott’s time with Cleveland Browns short-lived?
By Dan Justik
The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including L.J. Scott only being with the team a couple of days.
The Cleveland Browns have been active signing undrafted free agents following the 2019 NFL Draft, and that included Michigan State running back L.J. Scott.
The Browns signed Scott on Monday to bolster their running back room, adding another talented back to a group who has the potential of being the best group of running backs in the NFL.
But during the second day of voluntary OTA’s, Scott was not on the field with the Browns. And there is a chance that Scott never steps on the field for the Browns.

"Two days after signing as an undrafted free agent, WFMJ TV (Youngstown, Ohio) is reporting Wednesday former Michigan State Spartans running back LJ Scott is not with the Cleveland Browns anymore."
Scott’s fall in the 2019 NFL Draft was somewhat surprising considering the solid production he put up at Michigan State. But him leaving the Browns and potentially football altogether so abruptly is an interesting situation to follow.
Rodney Harrison calls out Odell Beckham Jr.
Odell Beckham Jr. has been criticized over the past several weeks because of his lack of time with the Browns at their facility. But as Randy Gurzi notes, former Patriots safety Rodney Harrison called Beckham out because of his comments about the Browns trying to become the next Patriots.
Browns’ Hunt: ‘I am not going to mess this up’ – Ryan Isley, ESPN
"Kareem Hunt says he made “a mistake.” And now he is out to make the most of an opportunity afforded to him by the Cleveland Browns.“I know I am not going to mess this up again,” Hunt said Wednesday after the team’s first OTA of the season."
The Browns are giving running back Kareem Hunt a second chance that is usually not afforded to most people, and it seems like Hunt understands that. If he wants to redeem himself and prove to be one of the best running backs in the league again, he is going to need to earn the trust of people off the field.
