Recently, just this week, a couple beat reporters for the Cleveland Browns, Tony Grossi and Mary Kay Cabot, decided to write about and tweet negative comments about this team and for what?

These beat writers are equivalent to Colin Cowherd. They bread negativity to get attention. It is so sad to see Mary Kay Cabot and Tony Grossi be so down on a team that’s staring a successful season in the face.

Mary Kay Cabot tweets that Odell Beckham is at the Cleveland Browns facility for the first time since April 1st and asks if he will participate. But, who actually cares if someone is going to participate in voluntary OTAs?

OBJ is an amazing talent and even Baker Mayfield came out and defended him not being there because it’s only a big deal to those who are only looking for clicks and to divide this very strong fan base,

Now, onto Tony Grossi. The man only knows how to complain.

"“Odell Beckham Jr. looked great, as expected, in his first OTA practice in the Browns offense – according to club employees who were there on Tuesday. But when the media arrived on Day 2, Beckham, reprising The Eagles’ 1974 classic hit, was Already Gone.”"

Again, who cares? This sounds more like he’s insulted that OBJ isn’t there for him to gawk at and ask questions. Grossi goes on to talk about camaraderie and building team chemistry and what he would expect Baker Mayfield and Freddie Kitchens to say about the situation.

What makes the absence less of a concern is the fact that Baker Mayfield and OBJ have trained together the last two offseasons. They already have a decent chemistry, thank you Jarvis Landry. And Freddie Kitchens I expect to lay the law one time if that’s ever needed and then fully expect Baker to carry that expectation with OBJ forward.

Why is this news to these people? Why is it necessary to go for the click bait article instead of writing about what this team has struggled through for the last two decade and now, finally, they’re staring greatness in the face? Instead, these two write about why one person, who is known to do these things, doing these things that he’s known for doing but he’s on a different team now and is still doing those things that he is known for doing?

The arrogance is astounding and the fact that they represent the Browns in the media on a national level is a let down to the Browns fan base.
