By Dan Justik
The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Greedy Williams working with the first-team defense.
When the Cleveland Browns selected cornerback Greedy Williams in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the team was ecstatic with the value of drafting a first-round prospect falling into their laps.
However, just because Williams was viewed as a first-rounder entering the draft did not guarantee he would be instantly given a starting job on the Browns defense.
With Terrance Mitchell and T.J. Carrie on the roster, Williams is going to have to earn a starting job ahead of the two veterans who played well last season for the Browns.

"The young corners were paired plenty during Thursday’s OTA session, much like they were last week when media was allowed to observe. T.J. Carrie handled slot duties while Terrance Mitchell, who started seven games for the Browns last season, got second-team reps."
It is still very early, so it is hard to say who is playing with the first-team now will be playing with the first-team unit in August and September. But if Williams can show he is picking up the NFL style of play at this point of the offseason, it could help his case of becoming a starter to start the season.
Willie Harvey continues to defy his critics as he jumps into NFL with Browns
Cleveland Browns undrafted rookie linebacker Willie Harvey proved that he was not too small to play linebacker in college and was a play-maker for the Iowa State defense. Elliot Kennel discusses how Harvey could continue to prove his critics wrong as he attempts to break camp with the Browns.
"Hilliard has been all over the field within the Browns’ offense, thriving as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. He repeatedly won one-on-ones and made difficult catches in the process, and has flashed as a multi-talented back who might just need a chance."
Duke Johnson has been absent from the Browns’ facility since he was being shopped around the league this offseason. But without Johnson on the field, it has given Dontrell Hilliard a chance to play more reps, and he seems to be taking advantage of the extra time on the field.
Freddie Kitchens starting to show concern about Odell Beckham Jr.’s absence
The Cleveland Browns and Freddie Kitchens have defended Odell Beckham Jr. for the past several weeks despite Beckham only being with the team for two days of offseason workouts. However, Kitchens showed Thursday he may have been hoping to have seen Beckham more at this point of the offseason.
